Collins this is the second session that we've conducted today on Google hang out with live streaming on you too and thousands of people from across the country have connected up with this and in fact we heard from Pakistan so I can tell you %HESITATION comfortably that this is an international event we're2/12
very glad that you have tuned in and we want you to immediately help us triple or quadruple the number of people washing by grabbing your computer tablet whatever device you use and reach up to ten friends right now and send them the link that you are connected to right now and invite them to join us either on Google hang out or on the YouTube live stream3/12
we want your support we're going to explain the mission or you tube this exciting new independent and publicly funded news outlet where integrity matters that's one of our our %HESITATION benchmarks here and you're going to meet some of our team members over the course of the next three hours as we describe to you why talented experienced people are drawn to the new spider idea and with4/12
your help we're going to launch new spread in September and provide a new media voice that will bring you information that's not compromised like the work of the corporate media that's compromise by advertisers and the interests of the ownership corporations or the public media outlets like NPR and PBS that are often compromised by their funding sources and by inhibitions that are kind of programmed in to5/12
the people who work there and then there are the alternative media outlets they'd have flourished on the internet what are largely funded by the same people who controlled the corporate media and the public media and the timidity of the so called independent and new media is something that we have taken no no and timidity is not something that you're going to associate with the work of6/12
news but in a moment we're going to share with you our Kickstarter video and the way we're raising money is this Kickstarter dot com if you go to Kickstarter and just enter news but or if you follow the links that we have provided you can go to our page and the current update is that three hundred and twenty three people have already made contributions to the7/12
news but fun and the total amount raised so far is over thirty two thousand dollars we want to build on that over the next three hours and we're counting on you and the people that you reach out to to help us with that effort let me first introduce the founder of news but she is also the founder of boiling frog postdoc com she is an award8/12
