Just a few weeks ago, President Donald Trump signed an executive order to keep the detention camp at Guantanamo Bay open and promised to fill it up. And to keep open the detention facilities in Guantanamo Bay. What he did not say was that there are currently plans underway to upgrade and expand the bases' facilities and capabilities to hold thousands of additional prisoners. This week, one of NewsBuds'2/36

Now this may sound like an outrageous conspiracy theory to many people, and I have to admit, it sounds like something that could never happen in America. the fact that former President Barack Obama passed the National Defense Authorization Act of 2012 that gave the US military the power to indefinitely detained US citizens without charge or trial, if they were suspected to have ties to terrorism. They were spending habeas corpus in a direct violation of the Sixth Amendment of the Constitution, ensuring the right to affair and speedy trial. Never mind the fact that8/36
there was an open debate in the Senate over five years ago about indefinite detention of Americans, where Senators Lindsey Graham, John McCain and others went on record saying that they believe the government has the power to not only detain Americans indefinitely, but to interrogate them so that we can win the war on terror. the 2001 authorization for the use of military force was passed after 9-11. And never mind the fact that President Donald Trump himself has said that he would violate American constitutional Sixth Amendment rights by sending American citizens who were suspected of having ties to terror to Guantanamo Bay to be tried in a secret military tribunal. I know that they want to try them in our regular court systems, and I don't like that at all. I don't like that at all. I would say they could be tried there. I would be fine.
