gonna come under severe attacks and you're taking on some really really really really major major targets here and you seem to determine to take this on and see it true and then the first part or your article came out I I was I was floored because it was so comprehensive so detailed and everything it's so meticulously documented everything is linked everything is based on fact so3/133
with that I'm going to I know it's a very very in-depth in that story that you have been covering and you have so far two parts out one more part is coming in the next few days and let's take it apart and start with part one what it is you are exposing in this amazing investigative work and also how did it come to your attention what4/133

one of the lesser-known players here is PayPal also also in the Oleg arts that are connected to them so what my recent articles are about mainly to if I could boil it down to just a few phrases would be that PayPal has a considerable role in this information war particularly on the government's war on whistleblowers and transparency organizations like WikiLeaks so more specifically I focus on7/133
two people two billionaires associated with PayPal you have PayPal's owner pia pierre omidyar and then you have Peter Thiel who's a PayPal co-founder and who now manages a people offshoot known as Palantir that's my second article but the first article is about Pierre Omidyar in his connection through PayPal to to the intercept mainly and how the intercept which is have been which has been funded by8/133
Omid er that you know they said to do fearless adversarial journalism and as it's come out over the years you know their whole basis of what the Snowden leaks and whatnot ended up not really becoming true they've had a lot of other stories that have come out that don't really have anything to do with those documents and the ones that have have come really late in9/133
the game and that's actually on to answer your other question about how I started to get interested in the story there was a document that came out I forget exactly what month it was near the end of last year and it was on one of the first Snowden releases the intercept that had in a really long time the document that came out was an NSA document10/133
that was showing that the the Syrian opposition was directly in communication and funded and directed by basically literally controlled by members of the Saudi royal family and that they had been ordered to bomb an airport or launched an attack that had ended up killing civilians and you know the inner the intercept had sat on this document for about four and a half years at the time11/133
now let's go and start from the beginning intercept how it was born by billionaire Pierre Omidyar who started with eBay and co-founded PayPal with Peter Thiel because the entire formation the Birkhoff intercept was based on the so called Snowden case Snowden leaked the suppose that Snowden leaks let's put it that way and Glenn Greenwald supposedly there is this whistleblower who leaks supposedly over five hundred thousand12/133
pages and he doesn't leak it he gives and he hands this information over to this supposed investigative journalist Glenn Greenwald so we have half a million plus pages of expose on NSA and and with various parts some of its supposedly exposing various companies working in these illegal spying surveillance operations and all the stuff Glenn Greenwald takes this information this five hundred thousand plus pages and releases13/133
a few of these by a guardian etc then there goes silence on these release of documents a few weeks a few months later this news pops up that Pierre Omidyar this billionaire partner with government agencies and these are older nasty agencies we are talking about is giving birth to a news organization in partnership with Glenn Greenwald as the top guy who's going to make give give14/133
this news organization intercept it's it's prestige and name right so intercept is born as part of this deal for for intercept and glenn glenn greenwald which is millions of dollars in salary over one and a half million dollars in bonuses per year is a deal the demon is intercept this billionaire who's partnered with the US government agencies going to have the exclusive right to these five15/133
hundred thousand plus pages to the state is in years how many years has it been five years meanwhile NSA is kicking and screaming at the time White House is kicking ass creamy they're like this guy Snowden needs to have death penalty this is destroying our national security this is a huge treasonous act and some of the most most sensitive information pertaining to our national security and16/133
our surveillance methods and our targets have been given you know taken by Snowden and leaked to a journalist and given to intercept okay it's been four and a half five years of this half a million supposed explosive information half a million pages being have had less than 10,000 pages released in little bits and pieces and little drips in five years right now considering the kicking and17/133
screaming of the US government agencies that penalty requests for Snowden who was in Russia is in hiding etc how can the US government these same government agencies say yet we will not touch or pursue Glenn Greenwald who is in possession of these half a million pages and the billionaire who's also has now the current private ownership of this information we are perfectly fine the NSA the18/133
CIA the Department of Defense the White House everybody is fine for these individuals and supposedly they are not directly working under the government agencies for them to have these half a million pages sit on it and do whatever they wish in terms of privatizing it whether they provide it to anyone nobody no mission therefore than okay with it it seems I mean he also continues to19/133
fund USAID including an overseas program that's specialized in advancing US national security interests abroad which seems kind of in in conflict with the intercepts suppose admission which is to hold the powerful accountable and whatnot but you also it's also really interesting in terms of like the Snowden Omidyar government you know connections that you were just talking about is that Omid er is also well connected to20/133
Snowden's former employer which is a very powerful government contractor known as Booz Allen Hamilton they've been called the world's most profitable spy organization and so Booz Allen Hamilton famous executives from there include James clapper who's the former Director of National Intelligence who committed perjury but wasn't prosecuted ever and you also have Michael McConnell who was former director of the NSA itself so he Omidyar in Hawaii21/133
where he lives posts a Pentagon a contractor Expo for the Pentagon within which Booz Allen Hamilton is a major stakeholder and if you remember back to the Snowden story years ago he Snowden worked at Booz Allen Hamilton in Hawaii so Booz Allen Hamilton has lots of employees in Hawaii were Omidyar has has lots of initiatives focused on Hawaii including the loop ano initiative and he also22/133
has the Omidyar Fellows Program and other programs that are aimed at you know a lot of these government contractors who live in Hawaii work there so one of the most telling things about this is that you have Omidyar and 2015 adding Snowden's former boss a guy named I'm not exactly sure how to pronounce his last name but I believe it's Robert lights key and so he23/133
was accepted into the Omidyar Fellows program in 2015 and he had to go through a personal interview with a MIDI R so a MIDI R had to have talked to this guy and apparently they were in an elite he also had to write you know a huge essay well like two thousand word essay about why he wants to be one of them it ers fellows but24/133
it's you know strange that there nothing was brought up apparently and there was no problem on either side of the fact that a MIDI are also overseas the intercept and overseas the ownership follow these Snowden files which assumably were taken right under under the watchful eye of leaps key this neo MIDI our fellow by his former employee apparently that didn't sour the relationship between these two25/133
and Snowden didn't even say anything about phony videos decision at the time and even as the you know the the pace of the leaps has been truly glacial here you know Snowden hasn't complained at all which is also you know raises a red flag for me personally and I think part of what you mentioned about news but coming under attack when this was first being brought26/133
to light by and by you all I think now that enough time has passed on you all have been more or less been proven correct because Snowden documents haven't been coming out like the intercept initially said it would be and no one's complaining about it and oh meteors fingerprints or rather his his money trail it's everywhere in the story so it's kind of harder for them27/133
to to defend the current set well the existing and current set up there at the intercept now Whitney you know the fact that supposedly this idea that the whole objective of intercept was conceived supposedly after Snowden case became public between Greenwald and Omidyar yet the fact that Snowden was in Hawaii this is the base where he lives and he operates many of his businesses Pierre Omidyar28/133
Hawaii the fact that Snowden left for Hong Kong taking off from Hawaii going to Hong Kong these are just pure coincidences so you and I should never actually say look people look into that because then we will be we would be considered conspiracy theorists but we want our viewers to know the fact that Snowden took off from Hawaii that's where he was working this is the29/133
base for Pierre Omidyar long before year before a year and a half before intercept was formed etc now interestingly Whitney the day that Snowden took the flight went to Hong Kong to meet with Glenn Greenwald and give him half a million pages I checked the flights after the case became public for that day and there were dozens of international direct flights from Honolulu the airport there30/133
International Airport there to various countries including some countries in in south do you know why and how Snowden chose Hong Kong China to leave Hawaii and go there before he left for Russia and meet Glenn Greenwald there well it's not really something I looked into because I was more talking about of the intercept and and WikiLeaks because intercept writers and people and intercept writers that work31/133
for the team or the font press freedom of the press foundation have sort of gotten into major disagreements with with WikiLeaks and Julian Assange but I think it is interesting that he needed up choosing to go to Hong Kong yeah or you know to China we're not to a place that had for example offered asylum to other whistleblowers in the past you know Julian Assange for32/133
example was offered asylum by by Ecuador so it's interesting that he chose not to try and go there for example or that he didn't try another country like perhaps I don't know Bolivia that has a government that is anti imperialist and interested in that sort of in those sort of protections absolutely and I know it's were it's not gonna come as a surprise to you but33/133
when the Snowden case first broke in 2003 2004 I established the first whistleblowers only operated organization called National Security whistleblowers coalition bit close to 200 whistleblowers 140 of them are publicly known no names but then we have another 60 70 who never became public but they are still members without their names appearing there I sent Snowden a questionnaire because I wanted to know if he was34/133
a legit whistleblower and if so he would be interested in joining our whistleblowers coalition one of the questions I asked there was this very straightforward question of all the flights available including these countries that would have given you asylum why would you why would you select hong kong and and there were seven eight other questions they're very straightforward questions he basically gave us a finger and35/133
said i don't have any of these questions I'm not interested in the national security whistleblowers coalition and after that silence now let's go to Glenn Greenwald Glenn Greenwald left in the united states around 2009 or so because he was wanted actually on several cases by the US government again many people they don't know this because very few articles have come out on this he had a36/133
fall out with his partner he and his partner they set up a gay porno filmmaking company in New York City and then supposedly one of them swindled the other one we are not sure exactly what happened he had a court case going he was being sued by his partner in New York City Court meanwhile the IRS he was wanted by the IRS because supposedly again this37/133
has come out is documented he had swindled the IRS for the amount over $100,000 and the way supposedly and we don't know what that way is he swindled the IRS he was going to be fine but also there was a jail time associated with that at the same time there was an investigation in New York's New York City's field office by the FBI there were some38/133
questions about some of the guys used in the film some of them are underage like they were under 18 or something again that that has been documented he leaves the United States because things are closing in on him and he moves to Brazil right and these cases are still staying alive against them in the United States after he gets these half a million plus pages of39/133
documents from sensitive sensitive national security top top-secret documents from Snowden after he sells it for these millions of dollars as part of his contract gives it to a billionaire business owner all these cases gets dropped against them with intercepts Berg IRS supposedly received money that that paid off what he owed IRS but they also dropped the criminal whatever charge they had a them so that goes40/133
away the case with New York City FBI on this porno operation goes away the partner who was suing him in court that case gets closed whatever kind of a civil agreements they had we don't know and not only that as a journalist who publicly says I got all this information the top national security sensitive information from Snowden and I have it he has been able to41/133
come and go freely into the United States he's being flown into Hawaii in a private Gulfstream planes one of one of several planes that oh meteor has he's been coming to New York City he's been going to Miami and how can that be now you're a journalist and you and Snowden isn't hiding because he's wanted he's facing death penalty for treason but you as a journalist42/133
you have all this information you possess these supposedly illegally obtained information that is the most damaging to the United States national security yet Glenn Greenwald has never been pursued or wanted for having and sitting on and and we don't know what kind of super skiff he has to to keep this information because government agencies supposedly supposedly they keep this information in the highest security area how43/133
can that be how can glean Greenwald be half a million page of the most sensitive documents comment girl all the charges being dropped has never been pursued has never been convicted how can that be Whitney because I have to say I'm flabbergasted because I've never seen a case like this certainly bizarre the most likely thing obviously is that Omidyar hasn't has a hand in this because44/133
if you if you for example make an analogy of Glenn Greenwald and Snowden with I don't know like Julian Assange and and Chelsea Manning the source Chelsea Manning being put in prison for a record sentence of 35 years of course that was commuted and she has been released now in Snowden isn't hiding to try and avoid the same fate ostensibly but what's interesting and this and45/133
would be the hell Glenn Greenwald as you mentioned has been treated compared to how Julian Assange has been treated Julian Assange for example doesn't hasn't stolen information he's not a leaker he's not a whistleblower himself he is the editor-in-chief of an organization that publishes this information similarly there in Glenn Greenwald received these documents that were leaked right and he goes on to publish them at outlets46/133
like The Guardian were they are read and in another in the intercept afterwards but you know Glenn Greenwald hasn't been arbitrarily detained in a building unable to leave for numerous for several years compared to a scientist case where Assange even if he stepped out the building will be arrested immediately and most likely extradited to the United States and the UN has even called for his release47/133
numerous times and the UK government at every step of the way denies that even when Ecuador offers him citizenship tries to get him diplomatic immunity has worked for him but on the other hand was able to go to the Oscars where he got up onstage for the Citizen for documentary and all of the stuff following the Snowden leaks and that was totally fine even though he48/133
apparently aided you know the dissemination of this information that was stolen by an alleged criminal it really doesn't make any sense unless you examine Omid er's role in all of this on his ties to the US and the fact or to the US government and the fact that his you know this publication that he put down the seed money foreign owns has done a really good49/133
job of not releasing these leaks that the government thought was so damaging and that also as News bud reported on years back also contains information that is damaging to his business interests mainly PayPal well actually you're right and Glenn Greenwald during one of his passionate nasty tweets he confirmed it I said I have inside source who an insight legitimate credible inside source who said some of50/133
these documents related to the NSA had to do with Pierre Omidyar and some of the operations activities he's been carrying out with the CIA the NSA so you actually are working for a guy who is supposedly implicated in these documents glenn greenwald's response was that's true but so white that was that that was the actually he put it on Twitter we did the screenshot we took51/133

because he and other intercept co-founders have called a MIDI are a visionary and even there what there were even articles that came out at the time that said a MIDI are has seen the light thanks to Glenn Greenwald and he has now become evangelized in the importance of free speech and and whatnot even though he had no P because oh MIDI ours you know had no53/133
