year ago %HESITATION on I just finished a premiere of get their damn wrong I think the project of this probably led me into this fabulous community allowed me to speak today %HESITATION and I'm standing in front of the opera house and they're performing Norma and it's one of the most epic oh oh press ever performance performed by the most epic rock star of Oprah Cecilia Bartoli
and our I'm watching these stream of well passing by of I see Bugatti's in Ferraris and I see million dollar dresses and they're all these fabulous couples and I'm so blown away by all the wealth going inside at the premier that I forget to go in and myself so %HESITATION I entered the room and there's this whole crowd staring at me just like you're staring at
me right now and I'm dilute the worst dressed guy in the in the room and I'm sort of out of place but I have a very big smile on my face because at that point I realize actually dad why I'd gone there and and I realize I pulled something off that I had set for myself a certain target and what the target is old I'll explain
you later off to give you two or three case studies of how I reached my point in life and reached a point that I actually wanted to be %HESITATION my speech gold from the gutter to the stars %HESITATION my projects called gutter damn room it has a lot to do with a good feeling and let me to talk to you about a few people %HESITATION that
I think %HESITATION excel in that part apart from me Cecilia Bartoli of course which I will explain to so armed the first story brings me to %HESITATION Berlin and a guy called cattle Hines Miller who was at that time a tinkle supreme much a rock star in fashion because in ten years time this of guy who started two weeks we you know we'd smoking skateboarders in
Berlin managed to beats dip it up with the fashion fair by becoming the biggest question fair in the world so this guy was a street dog who actually went from zero to hero and made Berlin really the most important fashion capital in the world he's the guy really put that little %HESITATION thing in motion and go hi instills may I have a problem bjoern because %HESITATION
I have a hundred thousand people coming to my fear and I'm I'm a bit confused on my what's the problem and he says I've become the establishment I don't wanna be the establishment I wanna be the street dog and you're going to help me be the street dog again so %HESITATION that's something that didn't shock me I was a sort of woven surprise about that question
or that assignment but what shocked me most was that Carl Heinz told me I have between hall for a million and a million euros you're gonna make a show for me and I will see you the night of the opening and he goes out of Doran that's a lasting a sea of cal high and so I'm like completely knocked out by the guts of this guy
%HESITATION why does he put so much pressure on the and I did immediately wrinkle Heinz leaves the room I have all these politicians who have become kind of corporate in these big company being really scared because the big boss is gone and you know strike pardon the sheep will scatter and everybody's like we have to do this and that so I'm I'm ending up with these
fair where they're used to doing the song a classic EDM DJ things where people are drinking champagne and sold really boring and there's a lot of %HESITATION %HESITATION boots on the fairgrounds and I I I I think like you know how I'm gonna take these people I surprise and I put on a stage in the middle that looks like one of these boots would be states
with a black occulting from and %HESITATION up in the air where nobody's really watching I put screens like these so I surround the people which screens and when they're actually sipping their cocktails they start to notice their wrists weird characters like this little guy started to look around them and there is this movie going on and the whole thing explodes Indians into something people didn't expect
I'll show you of the result of that not just the last few minutes you have an idea yeah so at the about seven minutes that during these boring talk or to you diving and I thought I was pretty interesting because I had underestimated that you'll the audience I mean I thought the show would go well but didn't think they would do that socal hurt Hines he
learned me this really good listen you sit you give a lot of responsibility to somebody you trust and you let him be despotic and do his own thing and work from the gutsy he will perform under pressure so Carl Heinz knew exactly what he was doing when he left the room that night %HESITATION and that makes him unbelievable person that I still respect a lot %HESITATION
the next story is about %HESITATION us a small DJ at the time around the millenium in Holland and the guy of the management of these guys inviting me to hold on and saying okay we are have this question for you because you're making all these rock shows and stuff and %HESITATION the DJ from the me saying I am going to ask you to make a rock
show for me and I wanna be the first DJ who becomes a rock star with a private jets and and a crowd watching the like the rolling stones so I'm again staring at him like you're staring at me like how's this record player player gonna pull that off but I think I discuss as a lot of guts to do that and and and and he's an
interesting person so I tell them okay you're coming from the world of trends and %HESITATION but into to persons in it %HESITATION dancers in in in fluorocarbon off naked girls and bitter you'll have to find something else to shock people are used to drugs and nakedness and maybe you should do just the opposite let's make an art piece and you'll play trance to a north peace
and will take all these dancers from beans and the guy was in and at that is that the case market in all these are the people who really muscular instead of voluptuous and we'll make this art piece and would just projected and his management goes berserk because they're like they're not going to get it in their drug habits and you don't dual diesel youngsters there don't
know that they don't get it they don't get artist not gonna work just always looking at me saying gift is guy a break man let's do this so just it was the name of the little DJ and of course he has his private jet right now and you're still with me you know like we take the show together with that whole creative crew that worked on
it because it's a lot of people working on a needle in me or the digit and we bring a big bag of cloth to collect chilla in America where everybody only listens to rock and roll at that time and the real chili peppers are playing and people are telling us you know electronic music its European dates for Berlin and you know it doesn't fit in America
because we rock and roll and we're like yeah we're just a off direct would just you know we just put a cloth after their the chili peppers so we just have a predictor of the cloth but people underestimate the power of a one hundred square meter of projection screen when there's some imagination on it because it's not about how big the bills you ring it's about
what's on the screen so we played a show and sure enough people go nuts and the day off after %HESITATION into New York and LA times nobody talks about the chili peppers anymore they're all talking about did you just %HESITATION who conquered America and I think it was the beginning really of the first big EDM shows in America now in Vegas in an old big it
feels like a Attila the majority's EDM I don't like tedium but I like people like just he had a lot of good at the the next project again is a building stone that leads me to get their damn room to show how it into my own project it's very different it's a fashion project I think you're all familiar with people like %HESITATION cloud yes you food
or Naomi Campbell or she's ill binge and it's all people who actually did a beauty pageant for elite model look and %HESITATION the difference with elite model of keys when you %HESITATION are in the lead to model itself like Miss World where you're under flowers and you go home and it's over know when you're in the lead model winning this contest you are a multimillionaire before
you walk out because you are really a top model and this brand had gone through a few bad times which scandals and stuff like that but then they had a very visionary new guy working there a Sikh an old friend of mine who calls me insists I want you to make a show that reflects what I wanna take elites which is the shadow of the model
agencies and what we want to be back on top and %HESITATION we go to China and they go through the whole process again of people telling me how it's done and you need %HESITATION liking to voice you need to cry and people on the scene and and and a real %HESITATION a Baroness talking to the girls and hugging them and then there's a motion and it's
gonna sell and I think it's a load of crap so I tell them like no we're gonna make note of a street for words whites of attacks will group people look we're gonna make it linear we're going to make a long line of hundred twenty square meters %HESITATION of projects and growth in three layers and we're gonna make this holographic long thing and instead of putting
them on velvet were going to put the girls and bare concrete and you know happily there was a very interesting team at elite %HESITATION laurels began the insta found their two amazing people who let me do my thing and %HESITATION we do the show and the show worked out really well %HESITATION we have intellectual Tory voice like a bit like the Deftones team in the intro
here %HESITATION who became the host instead of these beautiful Baroness and %HESITATION the show it's really well and the kids really release but he's not relieved yet because inside the crowd in the litter seats in front right here it's the most important laden fresher freshen the Frank %HESITATION says on the who passed away allows but who was an amazing person an amazing girl just like Cecilia
Bartoli and she she looks at me and of course you notice because of the way I'm dressing and the least dressed guy in the room again that I'm the director so she using a blink of the eye to go straight to V. can she's she was Italian every year do you shoulder looks like shit and Vicki select becoming really small and this is like but this
year it was amazing and it was a big party in the hereafter elites both the look got endorsed by Italian vogue and you know it became a very big brands of true this vision and the good feeling of the cool Indians is the guy would get and that brings me again to the next one good because I'm learning which is my own projects and I'm I'm
thinking okay how can I take all the stings from cal Heintz Miller Destry dog who went from the gutter to the stars how can I learn something from Tiesto who knew that Dick audiences hungry for something else when people always fit the same after awhile they don't eat anymore so you have to do something you and I'm a big rock and roll fan I'm thinking why
use %HESITATION you know like Iron Maiden still using cloth backdrops like in the seventies boring but there are no other greats amazing acts out there about at that time at least you know you have a few like Rammstein were really amazing for me big examples but I think you maybe should bring this idea of EDM of holographic stuff of bringing a technological aspect into an old
school rock and roll factor so there's again a lot of the soup dishes of people telling me rocker friends of mine were saying no was going to get the arts people and of the people who work for Dior into graphics making a rock and roll movie but they totally underestimated their audience because in middle you have beautiful artwork you know deviant art in Middle East something
amazing I think so I I took some good stuff to raise some Edgar Allen Poe I took some your artist from Chanel and I took my knowledge from all the shows and I went to speak to my friend Grace Jones so I made a few shows for and I knew she would get it she's a she's a north I can she's been a lot of museums
around the world is a living artwork just like ET and I explain her that and she thinks it's great and I player slayer and she's like warts tribal Mississippi only loves it and it ended up or in something I will show you like people told I wouldn't be able to convince anybody but this is the cast that I had in the install just below use short
trailer of guitar damn room nnova nter minutes place Iggy Pop gosh what home slash let me just slaves story Henry Rollins you know how Bjorn tag because our Gamera an explosive cinematic show accompanied by a live rock and roll band if you don't like it structural let me alas passed away in the meantime really writes %HESITATION and let me when I met and %HESITATION acting calls
the year before he passed away %HESITATION he was a very clever guy and the way he dressed nobody thought he would understand the prior anything like that there's limit was really the living example of how you can be a super intellectual and make people believe that you're not and I think he told me at a certain point like you know this shows gonna be like playing
motor it in the opera and people are gonna love you are going to hate you for it but you have to follow your gut man just to do what you wanna do and I was sent to Mariah from slayer is also some of them no I think one of most important metal artist again said the same thing you just take your guitar getting the van and
do it man so I just did it and I ended up with twelve the biggest stroke Aikens ever put together in the movie enough to come out of the prospect if where they're normally I changed into silent movie stars rather than having them shoutin stage and I had a beautiful unbelievable opera singer on my stage performing with us and that brings me back to the yolk
of Cecilia Bartoli where I actually also had catalog her little and by the crowd was in the room and it made me understand into and I don't like you know I think I know why you brought me here and she says yeah you know like you just created a rock opera and I like middle because Middle East complex music just like old music it's very difficult
to play when you listen to mask the donor slayer photos of stuff you know and she understood that really well and she said back in the days when old music was played into epiphany is it they used to blow up ships and make because fireworks just like Rammstein so Oprah word Dobra singers of those time where the rock stars of that time in walking during that
