only can you remember the first time you went away without your parents in ninety seven a few months before lady died in a car crash I went to London with my classmates and the weather was beautiful and at the end of the trip on the last day we got some postcards to write off on his bike and for and the idea of the day I notice
one of the teachers who was usually joking around with us study looking very worried and when he pulled me aside my heart stopped I knew before he told me my father died that day struck down at fifty seven brain cancer but then a lot of people said he was too young to die and then a lot of people so started sharing their own story and how
they too lost someone they loved too early so raise your hand if you two have lost someone you love right that's way too many of us and I always thought it was part of life until I got pregnant and my daughter so when the doctors as very casually if there was any kind of disease history in my family first my reaction was very confident and I
said actually we good we have pretty good genes but then I added the well might that died of brain cancer and that was the beginning I started to question how someone who wasn't a smoker didn't drink alcohol and who had no this is history in his family could get cancer I thought I was becoming a mother I wanted to learn if there was something I could
do leave as long as well as possible so I started looking into it first I just wanted to learn the few health tips and I had no intention to change any of my habits I was just like you I'm but then I kept learning and at some points I felt the shift and then a responsibility as well so this is why I am here today to
tell that story so that you or your loved ones don't have to tell it one day because all these years that I've studied and worked no one ever came to me with information I'm about to show so cancer is on the rise everywhere in the world according to the national Cancer Institute only five to ten percent of cancers all genetic so what about the ninety to
ninety five percent of them right so before the sixties no one believe that smoking cigarettes cause cancer actually cigarettes were advertising that were endorsed by doctors and celebrities and %HESITATION took awhile before the well has taken his ation classified it as causing cancer it took decades any thousands of studies and then the dedication campaigns and do the smoking bans started now today we are consuming products
that are advertised just like cigarettes and just like cigarettes they are also causing cancer so two years ago the wealth has organization classified process meets witches any meat organic or knots that goes for modification process to become bacon harm so sets of cold cuts causing cancer and according to them red meat probably causes cancer to so it's not just the meat actually we now know that
all animal protein including fourteen from fish Darien acts surely have adverse health effects according to the American Association of cancer research all animal protein boost the levels of growth hormone IGF one it basically means that animal protein both feeds and promotes cancer in the human body and it's not just cancer I should read these a animal products are also a links to old chronic diseases including
heart disease and strokes diabetes some auto immune and knows some degenerative disease like Alzheimer's Parkinson's so together chronic disease killed over thirty million people every year imagine the entire population of Shanghai and Singapore dying every year and only a very small fraction is genetic so we spend billions if not trillions to fight terrorism and here we have a problem that kills a thousand times more and
we do very little to educate people and to prevent nineteen ninety five percent of that's so what if we had the tools and the knowledge to actually save on off one I'm going through the thing is we do so the data is clear it's the food so now %HESITATION actually last year hall but researchers concluded that replacing animal putting without putting was associated with lower mortality
basically if a whole foods plant based diet was appealed it could events and even kill or almost all heart disease and strokes most cancers and type two by diabetes you don't have to take a pill and you don't have to wait to be sick to take your health seriously so I'm not gonna lie I use to think that healthy eating was of boring and difficult and
now I really wish I knew sooner that actually can be really delicious and that it's easy so what I did is I looked up you know some of some blogs some videos of some books and %HESITATION I started to find recipes that would really enjoy all planned baseball health promoting an old enjoyable for the food either I. M. and she really quickly out I started feeling
much better so what happens to you when you start %HESITATION eating this way is you start feeling a lot more energy better digestion better sleep clear skin clear mind I actually get a lot less sick than beef food is medicine it's very very powerful I know some people that cured the lifelong condition asthma of eczema even though with fright is just by ditching very so how
do you get started a lot of people tell me all you know how the white star than what happens you know when I go out it's so inconvenient well actually when we eat out this is just like any other day you know most people I know rarely older exactly what is on the menu so it goes like this if that's not on the menu for me
I just ask can I have these buster without cheese please done easy so my advice start a healthy lifestyle in the whole foot by midnight is actually to start with breakfast find your perfect breakfast something that you really enjoy whether it is a bowl of fruits of a bowl of oatmeal with a plant based milk or an avocado toast of noodles whatever you fancy having in
the morning and then when when you have nailed down your breakfast and you can focus on your lunch and then on your dinner all the nutrients we need although but I'm not here to talk about a diet because the foods that are making us sick are also destroying the planet so let's talk about climate change aren't we hear a lot about the burning of fossil fuels
and that's a rebel effects but chances are you probably not hearing a lot about the number one cause of climate change I'm sure the animal agriculture is responsible for we have got the mission a different station is the leading cause of water pollution of why life extension and water drugs we are facing massive with security issues an abatis oceans thirty years from now that's the consensus
among the world's top environmental experts that unless we shift fifty percent of animal based foods to plant the phonetics over next few years and we are facing catastrophic climate change so eating animals today is not that's just dangerous it's also clearly unsustainable it takes an enormous amount of food of grain of land and of water to produce just a little bit of food for a few
so when you think about it it doesn't make sense so one thing I learned along my journey is that we actually produce enough to feed ten billion people but every single day fifty thousand men women and children die of hunger and most of them actually starve in countries where food is produced countries like the Philippines Brazil Cambodia but to animals instead so in my eyes this
is the biggest sports scandal ever somehow we managed to find food to feed fifty billion ninety miles but we cannot feed eight hundred million humans and believe them a choice we can shoot eat the foods more keep not less we can choose feed humans in the short time I changed the way I eat just on the two years I contributed to saving two million liters of
water twelve thousand kilos of grains and thousands of square meters of forests and the thing is I'm not even special anyone can do that so imagine living in the world with less pollution less waste moe green clean water that is the future I want for my daughter and I want her to wake up to the news one day we did it world hunger is over it's
done this can happen the same foods that can heal us and save us can save the planets but how do we get there you probably heard before if you want to change the world you need to change yourself I know changes a scary word but it's not scary if you focus on the future and on what you will gain change actually is a natural part of
involution and change sometimes just becoming who you are so along my journey I realized something I always loved animals I lived in China for awhile and when I was that I rescued dogs and cats from the because you probably heard but some people eat dogs and cats there and for years I thought I was doing my best until one day I realized that I was saving
some animals from being eaten but I was eating other animals myself and that was my shift how could I so as children we actually thought that some lives are worth more than others we are conditioned to think that some lives don't matter it sounds familiar doesn't it we thought that violence is part of the circle of life that it is necessary but that must that's not
true it's just not true it is not the circle of life to exploit and enslaved cuts and mutilate okay to drown to gas and to slaughter it is not the circle of life four skills to be pregnant over and over take their babies away from them as soon as they are born so that we can take they'll mail to make cheese look it up I invite
you to question your choices truth is all animals whether they had a happy or miserable life the old fight for their lives when they arrive in the slaughter house all of them in the short time that I am speaking today to millions of them will fight for their lives and be killed and if billions of them every single year but wait a minute for foods we
don't need foods that make us sick foods that are destroying the planet so what are we doing we need to stop out of its by some of you may be animal lovers yep just like I used to you eating them to some of you may start to realize that actually dogs cats dolphins swans calloused pigs fission chickens but not for difference in Indiana they all suffer
the same now some of you may think that animals are worthless but they don't deserve all time and attention you know because we are superior let me tell you one thing a bully if area but a protector I don't see just animals I see vulnerable being someone defenseless and whether it is a person a child or an animal I will take a stand for them that's
just YM and I'm not the only one it is in all of us we are all born empathy we are all going vegan and we are starting to remember all true nature there is an awakening today a movement with millions of us millions of people just like you when I starting to try and live their lives more consciously even when also cited tells us otherwise even
when it's not convenience not everyone is there yet but a lot of people will be and for those of you who are fighting this idea today I invite you to question your choices and keep learning you know anyone can start with breakfast tomorrow within a two nights or you can even start with a soy latte so long my journey I realized something but I have the
right information to save my father only twenty years too late and it sounds strange but it actually empowers me because it's not too late for everyone it's not too late for the planets and it's not too late for the animals the circle of life is about eating foods that are good for a body good for health but Mika's thrive but a good for the planet and
sustainable that are more equal than not just and ultimately these are the foods that resonate with the heart because you know that's what we are we are all human and we all share the down hearts and will be good people so every time we eat we have a choice we can choose health over disease joy overpaying peace over violence equality over injustice and we can choose
life over death and the sum of our choices will decide which world we get to live in the all the world is sick blind and backwards at reliance on violence screaming nation and a disconnect us from one another and there is another world deeply rooted in all of us this New World is kind compassionate it's healthy LEDs forward thinking New World courageous and it is that's
