I would like to talk to you that the wheel of fortune it's a concept that I developed that I believe in that every human being has a wheel and this is called the wheel of fortune human beings can be divided into two groups according to my understanding you either sheep or you're a Shepard each one of them has a wheel there is nothing wrong to be
either either group he can be a sheep and you can be a shepherd and it's your choice and both are fine when you're on top if you're a Shepard you're on the sky if you're a sheep you will is slightly smaller or a little bit more small so you still just above the surface but you have to understand life can change and you can be at
the bottom and if you are on the bottom your rate you hit rock bottom if you're a chef it they need to be mindful of that because thing when goes wrong they go wrong really bad however when you're a sheep you still break and you still above the face of earth but you know one I'll talk to you about the story of my family my family
where shepherds until the day they Iraqi king was gone and then my family decided to become sheep's and the reason behind that because the successive governments that came mainly Saddam's government where tyrants so they decided to be sheeps in order to stay alive and in order to raise me up and be safe we managed to fly under the radar as you say and I managed to
go to high school and I did my education and I was one of the lucky ones that was not forced to be joining the Baath party I'm very proud of that that I never constricta the Baath party and I also managed to get to the medical school and I graduated I didn't ever expect that I was going to leave this country and I was happy with
where I was and I was a sheet until that moment where things changed and I had to make a rough decision in my life and that was the most difficult decision in my life when I was honest to commit a crime and I refused and I decided to run away from my life because I wouldn't commit a crime I ended up running away though I decided
to become a shepherd I was one of many people who wear escaping and it doesn't mean that your bad if you're escaping from death because life is valuable and then you can turn back and come again and start a new life I ended up on the big boat what actually was and that means it was a leaky boat that was not sea worthy heading to Australia
I did not choose Australia it happened because that was the only because that I could take I was crowned among two hundred sixty five people like sardines people were vomiting people where urinating on himself and it was miserable a lot of them where Iraqis and I was proud to be one of them we ended up in Curtin detention center it was jailed it was way worse
than jail it was hell Anas we were treated very badly in Australia the land of opportunity that you expect a first world country we were treated with numbers I was tagged with a with a permanent marker on my shoulder my name was stripped off me and I was schooled nine eight two for the whole period I was inside the detention center no matter what I explain
it to you I would not give it is justice however I decided to stay a shepherd and I decided to call for my rights an honest I and I decided to do oz for the rights of people who were with me so I was singled out as a trouble maker and as a result of that the government in Australia put me in prison they put me
in all sorts of jails maximum security prison Kerava jail and I'll tell you what's the prison system in Australia is brilliant I strongly recommend that it was way better than the detention center eventually time costs and I did my time and I was recognized as a refugee and I was released but before that I was kind of tortured psychologically tortured I was put in a box
in Australia for forty days and you wouldn't believe that these kind of things can happen in such a country you would expect that to happen during Saddam's regime anyway time pause then I moved on and up issued my dream the dream that I had when I was fourteen I watch the terminator the movie and I dreamt of making half human half machine living in Iraq noticing
a lot of people who lost their limbs through two wars and miseries off bombs explosions I wanted to help people so Australia turned from the land of misery to the land of opportunity when you're out there and we are recognized as a human being with rights you could achieve anything and I hope Iraq is on the right track to do the same things have changed in
this country and I'm very pleased to see that this place is way better went than one hour when I left it I did study medicine over there and I finished my graduation and I worked very hard on developing my sister and then I eventually made it there with creating what's called an OC integration technology it is mending the human with the machine and it is very
kind of cutting edge technology that's mind blowing it's when you when you connect the human body with a high tensile strength titanium device and you hook it up into the ski legal system and then you reject the nerves and the and the and the soft tissue structures and the mind stock controlling the body and then as a result of that things change dramatically and my position
on the wheel of fortune kept going up and then all of a sudden I got a phone call from the and the and the British and military and they were telling me that we are interested in your technology and we will send you our soldiers and this is a story of Michael Swaine my first soldier that I was on a two trees where the British government
send them to me he lost both of his legs above the knee and as a result of war in Afghanistan and I managed to hook him up with two rowboats and then when he went back I was invited to meet her majesty the queen and I visited her there and I and I became a celebrity and then after that things didn't stop prince Harry came and
he visited me in my clinic and then it went on and on now the American army is interested several other countries are interested and there is no weak that pass and without people coming from all around the world lending the technology and then I was invited to come back to this country to Iraq and I must tell you at the beginning I thought a lot about
it and I thought I'm I going back to the country you hear a lot of horrible things and they were playing when the plane was landing I could see that Baghdad is lit with light it was a massive city and I had this goose bumps and I had some fear inside me that I'm going to the unknown the place that I left in fear in the
shadow of darkness but then within hours things dramatically changed forget about the excellent hospitality is that I received the royal treatment that I got forget about all of that smile it's the welcome freedom of speech it's that you can do whatever you want you can take a photo and I kept asking cannot take a photo in here if course he can take a photo and I'll
tell you what's people you see people on they can be specimens they can they can say things hasn't changed I tell you this is not true Iraq has changed and Iraq is in changing you just need to be patient people the road of one thousand miles thought with one step and you are on the right step and I can garbage congratulate you old for surviving in
this country and keeping it going and I thank you all for having me again in my home country and now be honored to come back again and again and remember always when you're on top of the wheel it's a struggle and it's a fought to stay on top things can be Iraqi and think can go down but always when you go down think again that he
