WNED case of changing gears and topics with news but spotlight we're gonna be talking about Sabrina d'souza as she was recently featured in the news but report with Peter B. collets we've been following the case of former CI a officer Sabrina to Susa one of twenty six Americans convicted in Italy for the botched two thousand three kidnapping of Abu Omar d'souza is going to be extradited2/36
from Portugal to Italy any day now and she faces a four year prison term in Italy she just sent a letter to president Obama about her plight and joins us now from Lisbon now Sabrina it's pretty clear that you were a low level player in this plot to the the rendition of Abu Omar and you have advanced evidence that you are not even present in Milan3/36
on the day of the kidnapped yet you are the first of the twenty five who were convicted in absentia to face extradition and possible imprisonment do you feel that you're being scapegoated that that you are a scapegoat for the decisions of others that put this whole mess up you know plot into motion yes I absolutely in fact I'm not the only one who thinks that %HESITATION4/36
I think at the end of April %HESITATION I don't know if you're aware but Abu Omar the %HESITATION individual be rendered to Egypt spoke out as as a matter of fact calling me a scapegoat and saying that senior officials have not been held accountable so fact and I guess my speaking out all these years %HESITATION you know against the rendition and that %HESITATION exactly that you5/36
know the senior officials who had authorized this meditation %HESITATION have not been held accountable in in Italy or the Italians have been granted immunity including those who directly participated in the rendition because state secrets cop was of that involvement in it so %HESITATION that's pretty much what it is like I said now you know wouldn't if you speak out %HESITATION if you could unfortunately face the6/36
consequences of speak not now d'souza has made multiple attempts to clear her name and her alleged involvement we in this rendition operation now I understand Sibel Edmonds you have had communications with this woman and have been in contact with her %HESITATION in recent years and would like to have a alternate perspective a different perspective on what took place here with this rendition operation are sure that7/36
this is this is actually great that you're doing this this is a great opportunity to %HESITATION show illustrate our viewers what we have been talking about in reference to boiling rocks pose and use but that we are one of the very few if not the only news information website where we present a different varying views sometimes these views contradict themselves that as far as political philosophies8/36
war liberal leaning we have people who are libertarian leaning and and despite our differences we are able to work together put out perspectives even though those perspectives may challenge even our own team members and I understand Peter has been doing a great job covering the story and I like his method that he's keeping you know added and so it's not like the one time coverage he's9/36
kind of keeping the issue alive but one of the things that I have noticed here is there each offers that perspective %HESITATION even though Peter is doing it objectively at in that sympathetic approach to the case while some of us here at boiling frocks pose slash news but we don't have and we don't share that sympathetic views in regard to Sabrina the Susa and up I10/36
got to know her a little bit biased several phone conversations in two thousand six two thousand seven when nobody was really talking about this case a lot of this case was kind of secret hush hush mainstream media didn't do much in terms of coverage even though it was going through the whole court process up for example you said she's trying to clear her name and this11/36
woman is not even clearing her name when it comes to rally CIA's you look cool operations that were never officially sanctioned by Congress as far as we know of CIA's violations off yeah international even United Nations own human rights policies mean you're talking about kidnapping torturing torturing murdering people me doubt showing any probable cause without showing any warrants and in many cases as we have seen12/36
many many off the targus proved to be innocent people yet these people they were kidnapped let's call it rendition they were taken to to some black sites whether in Poland or it's in Turkey or Romania or anywhere okay and they've been tortured and some of them have actually disappear and the beat out any proof off their guilt the real deal establishing them as any kind of13/36
terrorist so all this woman this CI a operative she was quite old that illegal operation operations against the human rights and she got cock so she's not saying what was taking place was horrendous she was not expressing any week racks for what CIA was doing what she's doing yes she's flopping and crying and saying how come I'm gonna go to jail for Dennis and all those14/36
other people the other twenty five people they are not going to jail and those bosses who ordered us to engage in this murdering torturing keep napping operations how come those bosses are not going to jail okay yeah basically summarizes the case now I have to agree not only her everybody else who were involved was involved in any way with these rendition torture kidnapping murder cases should15/36
be held accountable you know go to jail dungeon long for a long long time and that we we what I don't have any problem with that as far as the bosses weather's Obama and other people in Congress and the heads of CI a who sanction these illegal operations in one way or another in secret meetings but secret executive orders all those people should be held accountable16/36
but that does not translate into any simply being wanted for this woman so I'm saying yes you should go to dungeon and and rock there and every single one of those murderers torturers keep knapper's should do the same thing they should go to jail Iraq rock there so as simple as that and and the explanation for that is very simple this woman made a choice conscious17/36
choice to update a job with the CI a and she was not the secretary typing as an operatives okay and CIA for half a century be known as as a as an entity organization that engaged in these kinds of or FAQ operations weather is false flag terrors are or in this case since nine eleven openly admitting to that torturing and rendition on kidnapping etcetera she made18/36
a conscious choice to obtain that job and she's been working for now for two and a half decades okay getting that paycheck enjoying what she is doing and is staying down remaining with this got them ages okay so that is no that's one to this woman continued working for the CI a while the CIA was engaged in this kidnapping and quarter since nine eleven Abu Omar19/36
was not the only person they have been doing it it's been hundreds of other people CIA private planes going to these countries and engaging in these kidnappings and them black ice torture murders she had no problem you know why I am saying she had no problem with it Spiro because she never Buddha whistle when does operations being illegal not officially sanctioned was going on this woman20/36
never said this is wrong this is disgusting I'm gonna let the public know or I'm going to resign I'm gonna get out of this she remains with this agency so she made their conscious choice was simple isn't and dell and now basically she's saying that all the rest of them are going three and they are they are gonna basically let me go and be the scapegoat21/36
okay well too bad but that should not bring any special sympathy I understand it is the call for it for the public to say the rest of them should go and be convicted hopefully and go to jail as well but as far as this woman goes why would you give her sympathy as well as if I was the judge I would want her to rot there22/36
in jail as well now the Sousa isn't directly being accused of participating in the kidnapping itself in fact sheet she was out of the area when place she's being %HESITATION indicted and convicted for her involvement in manipulating documents that would throw investigators off track so what do you I mean what what's the level of involvement here well let's let's look at our own court so called23/36
justice system here men of FBI the course the prosecution they bring cases against people who were involved in the case of a murderer or racketeering or terrorism they're not looking only at the masterminds they're not looking at only at people who implemented they're going after the people who were involved even in our facilitating financial arrangements for that they are looking at people who maybe knew about24/36
it and didn't report it because you know it within the law you're supposed to be if you come across some kind of criminal and you sit on that information that implicates you so anybody involved in this program whether there were people who were so exhorting the grounds where the blood was being shed off the people they were torturing and they don't say anything good and didn't25/36
do anything they got payroll they were on the payroll they were getting their paychecks they are involved another good analogy would be you have a court case off a mafia murder cases and you have a hit man there who has murdered for tortured and murdered you know think off good Fallas okay %HESITATION godfather once upon a time American you know all these movies and they're out26/36
there the hitman and they are facing trial it's like the hit men saying you know something I didn't make that decision I was not part of the decision making the godfather the boss paid me and said do it so who ask their damn this exactly basically what this woman is doing here and the and again he doesn't deserve any sympathy and I have really issues with27/36
that kind of statement or even portraying it as the keys as a victim some felt like that and I'm sorry I have to call her in any button within the CIA who knows about these kinds of illegal operations and not only they don't load whistle they don't resign eight actually participate in it I would say I consider all of them filthy it comes in to some28/36
of these new conscientious having to conscious having some moral principles that's that's wrong is wrong okay murder and torturing is wall whether I'm working for the CI a or if I'm working for some goth father in Brooklyn eat is wrong and people make choices men they got nobody forced her to do you kind of look at the situation of these pilots the airforce pilots who resigned29/36
and they are now going around the country saying they would not go along with the orders off this using drug programs because they find it to be of despicable are morally questionable right what's the difference between these people these guys and women and eighty percent who are shrugging anything in order is an order and we gonna do it and eager to participate in it RD responsible30/36
off course you back and the same thing with this woman she has no problem with those prop programs she has never had any problem with those programs and since these jerks who worked for the CI a they don't have the conscious but they are not conscientious people so it's if they don't have moral sounds and they don't have those kinds of preventive built in innate stuff31/36
may be showing that some of these people like this woman the Sosa ends up in jail maybe that would act as deterrence because nothing else is stopping them they're continuing their grabbing their paycheck they're implementing it maybe it would make them maybe something good will come out of it maybe able pause and say you know what I don't want to end up like Europe because yeah32/36
he's going to desert me and I'm gonna be or the scapegoat and they're gonna put me in dungeon there so maybe that would make them quit what they're doing since they don't have the dignity and the integrity and the moral principles and the conscious to prevent that maybe this what saw yes I hope street will rot in jail and she will be there for a long33/36
long time I rest my case well we've seen %HESITATION before that just following orders is not an excuse amber try you're still guilty if you participate in any way so I definitely would have to agree with you there so I pretty much wraps it up for this episode of spotlight with news but %HESITATION we're gonna try to keep this up so short but two very important34/36
topics %HESITATION that we had to touch on a cover here today we hope you enjoyed the show Sabella do you have anything else you'd like to add here no %HESITATION you're right the topics actually deserve this longer episode but also you have to consider the fact that you got me gain into my copy my talking mode and so I I talk and talk so you gonna35/36
make up for the next episode and we gonna have us here so do his usual to Napoleon and a brief unexciting presentation and we'll be having some really interesting topics that you're going to talk about in the coming soon to come episodes it's right in beach be sure to %HESITATION following subscribe onto boiling frogs post for now that's gonna be prairie home for news but and
