my name is Charles L. brown better known as Charlie Brown Amer retired lieutenant colonel in the United States airforce I spent approximately twenty three years in military service and the letter seven years as a senior foreign service officer in my career I spent a fifteen started out as an enlisted man and they are Virginia National Guard in the fall of nineteen thirty nine in her listed
in their regular US army Signal Corps in June of nineteen forty upon graduation from high school started training as a pilot in July of nineteen forty two this commission is a second lieutenant pilot in April of forty three trained as a B. seventeen pilot aircraft commander went to Europe arrived there early November of nineteen forty three commence combat is a B. seventeen pilot on %HESITATION thirteen
December nineteen forty three follow my twenty nights unless complete mission on the eleventh of April nineteen forty four combat during this period was very fairly severe just completed a survey of my thirty one attempts of admissions and every time we went into the air we had two hundred and thirty five casualties during those thirty one missions and then we're very fortunate to complete it ferried aircraft
around United Kingdom for two three months came back to the states instructor pilot volunteered for overseas again and then went out to the Pacific as a C. fifty four pilot flew into China Burma India left the service December forty five one year of college very bored back into the army four year went to Japan as a military police officer and ended up commanding a counterintelligence unit
out of the service in nineteen forty seven the fall Nordic complete college finished college in August of forty nine recall the active duty in October of forty nine given a regular airforce commission and %HESITATION early nineteen fifty left active duty in the fall of sixty five gave up my promotion to colonel to accept appointment is a senior foreign service on sure seven years with the agency
for international development six of those seven years being spat Southeast Asia as a regional and the edges basically because of my soldiers police work and not that cold office of special investigations since I had one of the few pilot trained investigators I ended up investing doing a lot of investigations of aircraft unusual aircraft accidents and was sabotaged was suspected and as a consequence became acquainted with
some outstanding scientists and work with the air technical intelligence center on a project called grudge at that time office of special investigations was a worldwide investigative unit in the airforce and were given the responsibility of Vester gating what became known as unidentified flying objects the title within the center was project grudge my job was to the district deal five a bright Patterson we received is worldwide
reports and my job was to hand carry these reports over to the technical center and cordon them coordinate them what the project officer answer any questions from an investigative viewpoint that I could assist on and I did that for approximately two years until the fall of nineteen the one when I left right Patterson colonel Dunn was nice enough to give me a two page letter of
appreciation for my work with project grudge and so far as I know that is certainly one of the early formal recognitions of the work of an Air Force officer with project grudge now the behind the scenes efforts it could have been going on simultaneously fortunately I was not privileged to but I I did gain a feeling then that many of the investigations were never answered normally
an investigative field you have an allegation of something or in the case of the UFO sighting say you carry it through to its conclusion and the result and in many of those those essences although it's been a long time ago I do know that there were no viable scientific results and as a consequence it interested due to develop my interest her sort of pick my curiosity
if you will and to the aspect of an ad unidentified flying objects having spent several hundred hours in the air at that point a I followed it throughout the rest of my airforce career and intact where command I was a coordinating officer between the deputy for intelligence and Continental Army command which at that time have responsible for the missile defense but the United States and so

it from my right one out of sight on the left and probably less than fifteen seconds it was moving at a speed that I couldn't even begin to calculate there was certainly no satellite was not a satellite orbit there was a controlled craft and things like that some of the object reported were tracked on radar we had objects with four way confirmation ground visual ground radar
airborne visual airborne radar so far as I'm concerned he it don't get no better than that you're not talking about someone's imagination and in the time frame I heard so called experts at the airforce brought in and one thing and another from swamp gas to things like that anyone who flies for as a profession an airline pilot private airforce army navy military whatever you're exposed to
literally hundreds of objects in flight I don't know bottle was clearly discernible but normally there's a flight pattern it takes place it's an aircraft with wings and the laws are very dynamic supply you don't stop that thing and reverse it and I like that I and things like that did occur it's I don't know it's sort of strange but we send people to prison for their
death because of eyewitness accounts Grimes our legal system based on that to a large degree yet in my following of unusual area phenomena aerial phenomena the pastor there seems to be some reason to discredit very viable very reputable witnesses when they say something is unidentified will you show me the other individual can identify everything in the heavens I will show you to second coming just that
simple because I don't care how technically qualified you are and for someone who is not there to voice an opinion poll they saw such and such and such and such every time I see a special or do you have photos or unidentified phenomenon you always have experts my question is where one could they get off what was a stop that drop them qualified damp to be
experts and I have a real problem with that I truly believe that phenomena have been visiting this planet long before project grudge I think there's adequate evidence and the more we learn about planet the more we learn how little we truly know so the advance of science is something that %HESITATION has to keep evolving and we have to keep learning and I get real discouraged what
I hear people they think they know it if you will the old expression is a know it all when really all you're doing is expressing their ignorance without knowing I do not I do not remember much of that and I would do very little in terms of of looking a gun grabber felt for example photographs I tried to to do rather well on I heard they
I had every reason to believe they but I also had reason to believe that the got a camera film it was handled very carefully not for general observations president Truman who was a rather direct individual they're they're violating air space over the White House and then a question I've seen radar photographs of organized whites about identified objects balls of light if you will and these Roth

Sanford was airforce system chief of staff intelligence so so much of what general Samper to is the chief of Air Force intelligence the president Truman said is he to guide it's responsible for well I said well yes our overall but he said is he handling the investigation they said no Sir that would be a man out or think that that's the man I want to brief
me so I do know that they flew it to Washington while I was there they were having a NATO exercise out in the Marcy area and the couple leaves little from the balls of light they're having night landings carrier landings then they got in the traffic pattern well you can imagine what happened when they came down on the flew over the deck without landing needless to

is working a mile a minute know their round aircraft when there's are not brown then they wouldn't be that large bed five on top of six moving at a very volatile speed maybe three or four hundred miles an hour and I just started to say something to my friend look at that whatever it is and they turned off they appeared and they disappear I was looking
the point in the sky when they appeared they disappear so what do you do with so far as I'm concerned that is totally inexplicable based on my judgment by background and my research they are from some I do know that there are agencies of our government that can manipulate data if you will images and particularly in the last twenty or thirty years with the advent of
such as I'm speaking into this mythical digital camera you can create or recreate my fascination with UFOs based on my belief that craft diligently operated craft basically violated our laws on this planet our physical and they have done that for a long time the fact that the government this point I know we've been investigating says has not come up with an answer the indicates that there's
something seriously wrong are we this incompetent and science I don't think are we destined competent and intelligence no we're not this now the image put out project blue book when it close my doctor condoms I have every reason to believe that this was total the liberty whitewash and %HESITATION my judgment is that there's an excellent chance that elements of the United States government for reasons unknown
failed to advise the public of everything that has transpired investigation of UFOs I believe that they have been investigated for extended periods of time and that the general public is not being made aware fully aware bits and pieces programmed responses strange that you should be interviewing me into prior to a national election there goes all you have to do is turn off the television set or
listen to a radio and you hear and see the results professional program would make by bands see if your people walk and things like that we make people talk a certain by showing that we give them Telligent which we could we could do a lot of things we also hired a lot of I knew from engineering manuals from research done at MIT that you want from

or not we just don't want people buying these large American cars I could not when I got that report I could imagine an officer of the United States government this in nineteen seventy nine eighty saying that I flew to Washington whatever the Congress but the general counsel the question may like the hat documentation he then said they would act when that when I pointed out the
unfairness of the FTC aspect by documentation he wrote a scathing letter to the chairman of the Federal Trade Commission sent me a copy of within three weeks from that date I lost my vehicle about a hundred thousand dollars worth of equipment test stolen I had sponsored the US army raced to him on the little sprite racing car they stole my unit off of that car after
we just one the thing the captain of the armory steam was a master sergeant the army we created a supercar and they stole that car from the US army in nice California so in three weeks psychologically it was wiped out this is no longer just talk there's a real world out there and as one who heading gazed in but it around the combat zone nine years
